Terrain
Steamboat Ski Resort is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains about an hour from the Denver International Airport. It's famous for kicking off its ski season with Champagne powder snow. The mountain's aspen glades offer up some of the best tree skiing in North America and there are plenty of above-treeline hikes and backcountry tours to take advantage of.
Resorts
The Steamboat Ski Resort is more than just the centerpiece of the global ski resort known as Steamboat Springs. A world-class destination, this snow-filled playground has something for everyone, from hard-core skiers to snowboarders looking for their fix on any of the 100 trails or numerous glades. The mountain’s 4,880 skiable acres are highlighted with runs that will take you into pristine powder in an unrivaled setting.
Locals
A tree tour with options for beginners and intermediates; works with most ski school students. The famous Steamboat runs, Closets and Shadows, are indeed world-class, but the ski area also has several great beginner runs on rolling terrain. The rest of this tour is mostly intermediate, with one advanced run.
